24th Annual Shari’ah Boards Conference
The Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) will hold its 24th Annual Shari’ah Boards Conference on 11–12 October 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Kingdom of Bahrain, with the support of the Central Bank of Bahrain.
The conference will bring together prominent Shari’ah scholars, regulators, and Islamic finance industry experts from around the world. As an established forum in the Islamic finance sector, the conference focuses on harmonising Islamic legal perspectives and enhancing Shari’ah governance in Islamic financial services.
Technical Sessions
- Estimating the actual direct cost of Iqrad (lending)
- Controls governing dual-track syndicated financings, with separate Islamic and conventional tracks
- Investment in shares of mixed-activity companies
- The permissibility of the exchange of value against a binding commitment
The conference will offer simultaneous interpretation in Arabic and English. Sessions will also be livestreamed through AAOIFI’s digital platforms, including Zoom, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
